Product Description
This rare, and robust cycad from steep limestone hills in Loei province in northern central Thailand and neighboring Laos has been scientifically described in 2002 as a new species. It will form a straight, pale brown trunk to 6 m tall. The leaves are up to 2.3 m long and hold up to 115 bright green, very glossy, and slightly waxy leaflets per side. The seeds are quite large and to 5 cm long. Cycas petraea is one of the more cold tolerant as well as fast growing Cycas and will flourish in most warm temperate climates in USDA Zones 9 and above.
