Product Description
Cycas tropophylla, the Ha Long cycad, is a species of cycad endemic to Vietnam.
It is found in Cát Bà National Park, Cát Hải District, Hải Phòng Province, Vietnam, as well as neighboring islands and on nearby limestone cliffs on the mainland
A very beautiful, smallish cycad with arching, strongly keeled, deep glossy green leaves. It forms at best a short aboveground trunk. Native to the Haiphong area of northern Vietnam, it grows on the bare faces of steep limestone cliffs that are typical of the region, often with no soil at all. In cultivation it adapts well to tropical and many warm temperate climates. Cycas tropophylla often produces two embryos, so two plants can grow from one seed. (RPS.com)
