Dioon rzedowskii is a species of cycad that is endemic to Oaxaca, Mexico. It occurs in the Rio Santo Domingo valley, near the villages of San Bartolomé Ayautla and San Pedro Teutila.
A large, elegant and rare cycad from Oaxaca, Mexico, where it is found in open forest between 650 and 850 m (2100 to 2800 ft.). Dioon rzedowskii is as easy and rewarding in cultivation as its closest relatives, Dioon mejiae and Dioon spinulosum, but hardier to cold than either. (RPS.com)
